In private practice for over 25 years, Lidia Kuleshnyk specializes in working with clients with serious and chronic health conditions, on-line, in Toronto and at her retreat center,

located in beautiful Rideau Lakes, Ontario, Canada. 



In addition to private Reiki Sessions, Lidia teaches all levels of Reiki Training, with apprenticeships for Reiki Master students.

Reiki is an ancient Japanese Healing Art that channels energy through the hands. The energy of Reiki is defined as Universal Life Force, from the Japanese interpretation of REI = Universal and KI = Life Force.

Reiki helps you relax, grow and heal on all levels – physical, emotional, mental and spiritual. Reiki's applications are very diverse, ranging from relaxation and stress reduction to clinical use in the recovery of serious and chronic illnesses.

Reiki is the adding of energy. The Reiki is like a big, clear, powerful river of energy nourishing your personal river of energy. This added energy allows your body and energy to come into balance in its own time and in its own way, enhancing the body's natural healing process. Your energy is being "added to," not manipulated or "moved around" by a practitioner.

As such, Reiki is completely non-invasive and very safe and gentle. And it is not the energy of the practitioner that is being utilized. Receiving Reiki is like "lying in the sun." You don't have to believe in it, or prepare for it – you will simply absorb the Reiki energy, as you would absorb the sun's rays, based on the Principles of Nature. All you have to do is relax and enjoy. Reiki may be experienced on its own or as a wonderful complement to other conventional or alternative therapies. It can be enjoyed by everyone – all ages, belief systems and lifestyles.



During a session, you may sit or lie down, fully clothed, in a comfortable position. One of the beautiful qualities of Reiki is that you, as a recipient, need not be physically touched. The practitioner's hands are gently placed over the major energy centers and organ systems of your body and any other areas that you have identified as needing extra attention. Comfortable cotton or "breathable" clothing, and removal of metallic objects and jewelry, is recommended to allow the greatest flow of, and benefit from Reiki.

The average session is 90 min, but can range from 30–120 min.

A series of Reiki sessions, close together, are recommended when beginning.  This allows the body to acclimate to the Reiki energy. Reiki is cumulative – each session builds on the next. Chronic health conditions are also more effectively addressed with regular sessions.






During, and immediately after a session, you may feel a sense of deep relaxation and/or emotional release. In the days and weeks following your session, you may notice subtle, and sometimes distinctive shifts in the physical, emotional, mental and/or spiritual aspects of your being.

These may include a feeling of rejuvenation and increased vitality. It may also include relief from physical pain and tension. Your dreams may be more vivid and you may experience greater clarity of thought and perception. You could feel more "grounded" or "centered."

It is important to remember that the practitioner of Reiki exists as a channel through which Reiki can be more fully directed to you. The will and intention of the Reiki Practitioner is never involved. You guide the energy and do the healing as the energy of Reiki flows to where it is most needed.
